"Al igual que los artistas, los cient ́ıficos creadores tienen que ser capaces en ocasiones devivir en un mundo descoyuntado, exigencia que en otro lugar he descrito como “la tensión esencial” implícita en la investigación científica" (T. S. Kuhn, 2013)
Este número significa el resultado del primer esfuerzo para implementar una revista científica en versión electrónica, con producción intelectual en los campos de las ciencias administrativas, contables, económicas y financieras. Es un nuevo propósito que incluyeun grupo de personas comprometidas desde el primer paso sin importar las dificultades. Otros también en su momento iniciaron el reto de implementar publicaciones científicas electrónicas. Entre ellas, la Universidad de Birmingham y la Universidad Tecnológica de Loughborough en Inglaterra en 1980 con la revista The Electronic Magazine a cargo de Harry Collier; La Universidad de Siracuse, en 1987 mediante un proyecto especial publicó la revista electrónica arbitrada “New Horizons in Adult Education”; la American Psycho-logical Association en 1989 publicó la revista electrónica arbitrada “Psycholoquy”; luego en 1990 emerge otra revista electrónica arbitrada “Postmodern Culture” (Voutssas M.,2012).
Las personas de estas instituciones aceptaron el desafío de iniciar un proceso de publicaciones científicas en modalidad electrónica y, algunas de ellas hoy existen, lo que significa que la persistencia, responsabilidad, disciplina y actitud para el aprendizaje han sido constantes. Hoy en día, con las innovaciones tecnológicas, el desafío va más allá de crear la revista. Implica también la capacidad de ser constante para obtener la indexación en bases de datos de alto impacto.
Invito a los autores, investigadores y lectores a ser perseverantes. Sabemos que a todo artículo le antecede un arduo proceso de investigación y luego continua el proceso de escritura científica para conseguir la publicación, pero, al publicar, inicia la divulgación científica. Así se hace el aporte de la ciencia para que la sociedad entienda mejor el entorno que le rodea. Es, en sí, la herramienta de poder para posicionar la ciencia en la agenda de la sociedad (Valladares F. y otros, 2016).
Con este primer número, visiblemente se está construyendo historia en la Facultad de Economía y Administración de la Universidad Surcolombiana. Se trata de los primeros autores que se atrevieron a publicar su artículo, los primeros pares externos que incondicionalmente nos acompañan, los primeros integrantes de nuestro comité editorial y de nuestro comité científico, los directivos y asistentes comprometidos en este proceso, que, pese a situaciones de fluctuación, nos atrevimos a hacerlo. El reto es construir un camino suficientemente fiable y sólido para alcanzar una óptima posición de la revista. Al final, con la divulgación de una investigación inicia el proceso de generar cambios en la sociedad, pues el objeto es que se perciba como un instrumento útil para mejorar las condiciones de vida de los ciudadanos (Valladares F. y otros, 2016).

Research... publish... divulge...
"Like artists, creative scientists must sometimes be able to live in a disjointed world, ademand that I have elsewhere described as ”the essential tension” implicit in scientific research" (T. S. Kuhn, 2013)
This number means the result of the first effort to implement a scientific journal in electronic version, with intellectual production in the fields of administrative, accounting, economic and financial sciences. It is a new purpose that includes a group of committed people from the first step regardless of the difficulties. Others also initiated the challenge of implementing electronic scientific publications, including the University of Birmingham and the Loughborough University of Technology in England in 1980 with the journal The Electronic Magazine by Harry Collier; The University of Siracuse, in 1987 through a special project, published the refereed electronic journal ”New Horizons in Adult Education”; the American Psychological Association in 1989 published the refereed electronic journal” Psycholoquy”; Then, in 1990, another arbitrated electronic journal ”Postmodern Culture” emerges (Voutssas M., 2012).
People from these institutions accepted the challenge of initiating a process of scientific publications in electronic mode and some of them still exist. That means that persistence, responsibility, discipline and attitude for learning have been constant. Nowadays, with technological innovations, the challenge goes beyond creating the journal. It also implies the ability to be constant in order to obtain indexing in high impact databases.
invite authors, researchers and readers to be perseverant. We know that every articleis preceded by an arduous research process and then continues the process of scientific writing to get the publication. But when publishing, the scientific dissemination begins. This is how the contribution of science is made so that society understands better the environment that surrounds it. It is itself, the tool of power to position science in the society’s agenda (Valladares F. and others, 2016).
With this first issue, history is being visibly constructed in the Faculty of Economics and Administration of the Surcolombiana University. These are the first authors who dared to publish their article, the first external pairs that unconditionally accompany us, the first members of our editorial committee and our scientific committee, the managers and assistants involved in this process, who, despite of fluctuation, dared to do it. The challenge is to build a sufficiently reliable and solid base to reach an optimal position of the journal. In the end, with the disclosure of an investigation, the process of generatin gchanges in society begins, because the object is that to be perceived as a useful instrument to improve the living conditions of citizens (Valladares F. and others, 2016).
