La Revista Entornos es una publicación de carácter científico indexada desde el año 2010, que busca estimular el interés por el conocimiento y la identidad cultural, con el firme propósito de construir ciudadanía, y por lo tanto, sociedad civil. A partir del estudio en todas las disciplinas se pretende publicar ideas y teorías de nuestra propia realidad, que generen una nueva mentalidad para hacer de la investigación y la reflexión componentes esenciales de la vida humana. En la Revista Entornos se busca promover la ciencia de manera constructiva al servicio de la comunidad y nunca en su detrimento. La Revista Entornos aborda la ciencia como una actitud de respeto a la vida humana y a la moral y propender al bienestar mejorando las condiciones de vida de toda la sociedad.

La Revista Entornos cuenta con un comité científico y de arbitraje de carácter nacional e internacional que tiene como propósito la revisión de los documentos.

Temática y Alcance

La Revista Entornos es una publicación científica arbitrada, dirigida a los especialistas de las diversas áreas del saber, interesados por la producción y la divulgación del conocimiento científico. Entornos es una revista multidisciplinar que publica preferentemente artículos originales e inéditos, escritos ya sea en español, francés, inglés, portugués o alemán, derivados de investigaciones. Se publican igualmente estudios teóricos, artículos de revisión, reflexiones originales, tesis, traducciones y recensiones de libros y revistas que den cuenta del avance de los diferentes campos disciplinares.

The Entornos magazine is a scientific field publication indexed in year 2010, that searches to stimulate the knowledge and cultural identity with the main purpose of “building” a citizenship and therefore a civil society. From the research of all disciplines it's goal is to publish ideas and theories of our own reality that create a new mentality to make of research and reflect essential components of human life.

In The EntornosMagazine we look forward to promote Science as a constructive way of service to the community and never to its detriment. The Entornos magazine addresses science as a respectful attitude towards human life and morals. It promotes well-being by improving the life conditions of all society.

The Entornos magazine has national and international scientific and arbitrage committees that have as a purpose the evaluation of the documents.

Entornos magazine is an arbitrated scientific publication, addressed to the specialist diverseareas of knowl edg e that are interested in the production and release of scientific knowledge. Entornos is a multidisciplinary magazine that preferably publishes written original and customized articles in diverse languages: Spanish, English, French, Portuguese or German, that is originated fromresearches. There are also published theory studies, revision articles, first reflections, thesis, translations and book and magazine reviews that show the advances in different disciplinary fields.

Las citas y Referencias bibliográficas (Importante)

El manejo de citas y referencias bibliográficas deberán seguir el sistema de la American Psychological Association (APA). Es muy importante tener en cuenta que la citación de textos consultados para el desarrollo del escrito es obligatoria. La cita ofrece información sobre el autor y año de publicación que conduce al lector a las referencias bibliográficas que se deben consignar al final del documento. Por lo tanto todos los autores citados en el artículo enviado deben coincidir con la lista de referencias del final, nunca debe referenciarse un autor que no haya sido citado en el texto y viceversa. En la primera página del trabajo debe incluirse: el título completo y, en caso de ser necesario, el subtítulo, el orden de los autores con: nombres y apellidos completos, filiación institucional, títulos académicos y correo electrónico institucional. En el documento debe incluirse un resumen y 5 palabras clave. El texto no debe superar las 15 cuartillas.

Instrucciones a los autores

La Revista Entornos como medio de difusión de la Vicerrectoría de Investigación y Proyección Social de la Universidad Surcolombiana tiene el propósito de aportar a la ciencia de manera constructiva y por lo tanto, le recomienda a los autores usar un estilo culto. Esto significa el uso de las formas expresivas correspondientes al campo de las ciencias a la que pertenece el trabajo. Además de esto se debe optar por la objetividad, de forma que se le dé primacía a los hechos y datos, sobre las opiniones y valoraciones subjetivas del autor. También es importante para todos los tipos de artículos el respeto a las cualidades propias del estilo científico y considerar la comprensión del receptor con oraciones bien construidas, ordenadas y sin sobreentendidos. En general el texto científico debe mantener sencillez sintáctica, ser preciso y evitar la terminología ambigua y la subjetividad.

En el caso que sea necesario por el comité editorial o un lector, el autor debe poder comprobar la veracidad de los enunciados del texto.

Antes de enviar el artículo o documentos a la Revista Entornos, por favor tenga muy en cuenta los siguientes parámetros:

The Quotes and Bibliographic References (Important)

The quotations and bibliographic references management should follow the American Psychological Association (APA) system. It is very important to take into account that the quoting of the searched texts for the research development is a requirement. The quote offers information about the author and the year of publishing that leads the reader to the bibliographical references that should be at the end of every document. Therefore, all the authors quoted in the article sent must match with the references listed at the end; we should never refer an author thathas not been quoted in the text and viceversa. In the first page of the research the complete title should be included and in case it's necessary, the subtitle, the authors (in order with the following information): names and lastnames, institutional affiliation, academic titles and institutional emails. In the document should also be included a summary and 5 keywords. The text should not exceed 15 pages.

Guidelines to the Authors

The Entornos magazine as a broadcasting media of the Research and Social Development Vice Principal’s office of the Surcolombiana University has the purpose of contributing Science in a constructive way, and therefore recommends authors to use a cult style of writing. This means the use of the expression forms that belong to the science field that the research belongs to. Also, it has to choose the objectivity, bringing relevance to the facts and data about the subjective opinions and assessments of the author. It is also important to articles of all type, the respect to the specific capabilities of the scientific style and to consider the understanding of the reader with well built, organized no-assumptions sentences. In general, the scientific text has to keep a syntactic simplicity, be precise and avoid the ambiguous terminology and subjectivity.

In case it’s necessary, the author should be able to check the veracity of the text statements. This request can come from the publishing committee or a reader.

Before sending the article or documents to the Entornos magazine, please follow these requirements:

Font type: Arial Size 12 Spacing: Single

The paragraphs should be justified.

No es necesario usar tabulados, iconos de adorno, textos destacados en tonalidades de grises o de cualquier otro aditamento que finalmente no vaya en el diseño y diagramación final de la obra ni otros tipos de fuentes diferentes a la establecida.

-    Si el artículo incluye fórmulas matemáticas, estas deben digitarse en un programa compatible con Word (editor de ecuaciones).

-    Diligenciar el formato de declaración de originalidad y cesión de derechos para la difusión del artículo (INV-FO-15).

-    Los artículos deben ser inéditos- con excepción de las traducciones- y su(s) autor(es) se compro-mete(n) a no enviarlos simultáneamente a otras revistas académicas.

-    Los autores de las traducciones deberán anexar el permiso correspondiente para su publicación por parte de los autores y de la revista en la que fue publicada la versión original.

-    Los artículos deben tener una extensión no mayor a 25 páginas escritas a espacio y medio en hoja tamaño carta, en letra Arial de 12 puntos. Las reseñas de libros, revistas y tesis, no excederán las cinco páginas.

-    Los artículos deben incluir un resumen en español con una extensión de doscientos a doscientos cincuenta palabras o entre diez y veinte renglones, con sus respectivas palabras claves- cuatro o cinco-. La revista se hará cargo del servicio de traducción del resumen al inglés.

-    Si el artículo tiene cuadros y gráficas, deben enviarse en una carpeta digital aparte, debidamente numerados, y en los programas originales en los que fueron realizados.

Proceso de Arbitraje

1.    Los trabajos recibidos serán revisados por el Editor de la Revista para verificar inicialmente si cumplen con todas las pautas exigidas para los colaboradores, de no ser así, se les regresará el artículo para que hagan los ajustes convenientes.

2.    El Editor hace una lista de los artículos, con sus resúmenes y perfil de los autores.

3.    Los artículos son revisados por un grupo especial de profesionales del Programa Licenciatura en Lengua Castellana de la Universidad Surcolombiana, quienes harán sus comentarios a nivel gramatical y morfosintáctico.

4.    Posteriormente y a partir de esta primera revisión, el Editor en coordinación con los miembros del comité editorial seleccionan los artículos que pueden ser enviados a evaluación por parte de dos pares académicos en condiciones de anonimato.

5.    En caso en que los pares presenten conceptos muy divergentes, el Editor podrá enviar el artículo a evaluación de un tercer par.

It’s not necessary to use tabulations, figurative motifs, highlighted texts in gray tones or any other riders that doesn’t belong to the design and final diagramming of the text. There should not be used other type of fonts different to the established one.

-    If the article includes math formulations, this has to be typed in a Word compatible program (equation editor).

-    Fill out the form of authenticity and assignment of rights declaration for the article promoting (INV-FO-15).

-    The articles must be unpublished-with exceptions of the translations and its author(s) commit to not send the articles simultaneously to other academic magazines.

-    The translation authors have to attach the correspondent permission for its publishing by the authors and the magazine in which the original text was published.

-    The articles must have an extension of no more than 25 pages, written at one and a half spacing in letter type sheet, Arial 12 Font. The books, magazines and thesis reviews should not exceed 5 pages.

-    The articles should include a summary in Spanish with a 200-250 word extension or 10-20 lines, with its own keywords-four or five-. The magazine will provide the translation service to English of the summary.

-    If the article has charts or graphics, a digital folder should be sent aside, numbered and in the original programs in which they were done.

Arbitrage Process

1.    The received texts will be evaluated by the Magazine Editorto initially verify if they comply with all the requirements for the collaborators; otherwise, the article will be returned to the sender so they make the convenient changes.

2.    The Editor makes a list of the articles, along with its summaries and author profiles.

3.    The articles are reviewed by a selectedgroup of professionals from the Spanish Language Degree Program from the Surcolombiana University, who will express their comments at a grammatical and morphosyntatic level.

4.    Then after this first revision the Editor, in association with the members of the Publishing Committee, choose the articles that can be sent for evaluation by two academic pairs in anonymity conditions.

5.    In the case that the academic pairs have very dissenting concepts, the Editor can send the article for evaluation by a third academic pair.

6.    Cuando se hayan recibido las evaluaciones de los pares, los autores deberán realizar los ajustes que sugieren los evaluadores, si hubiera lugar a ello.

7.    Finalmente el Editor decidirá si publica el artículo. De igual forma se informará oportunamente a los autores la decisión que tome el Editor con respecto a la publicación de cada uno de los artículos.

Cumpliendo con las anteriores especificaciones, los autores deben hacer llegar sus artículos en versión digital en el programa Word a: revistaentornos@usco.edu.co

Tipología de los artículos

1)    Artículo de investigación e innovación. Documento que presenta la producción original e inédita, preparado para ser publicado en una revista de contenido científico, tecnológico o académico, resultado de procesos terminados de investigación.

2)    Artículo de reflexión. Documento que presenta resultados de investigación terminada desde una perspectiva analítica, interpretativa o crítica del autor, sobre un tema específico, recurriendo a fuentes originales.

3)    Artículo de revisión. Documento resultado de una investigación terminada donde se analizan, sistematizan e integran los resultados de investigaciones publicadas o no publicadas, sobre un campo en ciencia o tecnología, con el fin de dar cuenta de los avances y las tendencias de desarrollo. Se caracteriza por presentar una cuidadosa revisión bibliográfica de por lo menos 50 referencias.

4)    Artículo corto. Documento breve que presenta resultados originales preliminares o parciales de una investigación científica o tecnológica, que por lo general requieren de una pronta difusión.

5)    Reporte de caso. Documento que presenta los resultados de un estudio sobre una situación particular con el fin de dar a conocer las experiencias técnicas y metodológicas consideradas en un caso específico. Incluye una revisión sistemática comentada de la literatura sobre casos análogos.

6)    Revisión de tema. Documento resultado de la revisión crítica de la literatura sobre un tema en particular.

7)    Cartas al editor. Posiciones críticas, analíticas o interpretativas sobre los documentos publicados en la revista, que a juicio del comité editorial constituyen un aporte importante a la discusión del tema por parte de la comunidad científica de referencia.

6.    When the academic pair’s evaluations have been received, the authors should make the changes that the reviewers suggest, if there are any.

7.    Finally, the Editor will decide if he publishes the article.Likewise, the authors will be informed appropriately about the decision made by the Editor about the publishing of each and every one of the articles.

ArticlesTypology:

1)    Research and Innovation Article. Document that shows the original and un-published produc-tion, prepared to be published in a scientific, technological or academic content magazine and that is a result of finished research processes.

2)    Reflection Article. Document that shows results of a finished research from an analytic, interpreted or critical view from the author, about an specific subject, using original sourcing quotes.

3)    Review Article. Document that shows results of a finished research where the results of published or un-published researches are analyzed, systemized, about a science or technology field, with the goal of showing the development advances and trends. Its main feature is that has a careful bibliographic review of at least 50 references.

4)    Short Article. Short document that show partial or preliminary original results of a scientific or technological research, that mainly requires a soon dissemination.

5)    Case Report. Document that shows the results of a research about a specific situation, with the objective of showing the technical and methodological experiences that are considered into a specific case. Includes a systematic with comments review of the literature about analogue cases.

6)    Subject review. Document that is a result of the critical literature review about a specific subject.

7)    Letters to the Editor. Critical, analytical or interpretational positions about the published magazine documents, that under the Publishing committee decision brings an important value to the subject discussion by the referred scientific community.

8)    Editorial. Documento escrito por el editor, un miembro del comité editorial o un investigador invitado sobre orientaciones en el dominio temático de la revista.

9)    Traducción. Traducciones de textos clásicos o de actualidad o transcripciones de documentos históricos o de interés particular en el dominio de publicación de la revista.

10)    Documento de reflexión no derivado de investigación.

11)    Reseña bibliográfica.

Principios éticos y legales

La Revista Entornos publica artículos que cumplan con los principios éticos contenidos en la Declaración de Helsinki formulada en 1964, y sus posteriores revisiones. De igual forma, los artículos están sujetos al cumplimiento de la legislación específica del país en que la investigación fue realizada y indicando el nombre de la institución que dio el aval.

Derechos de autor

Al enviar los artículos para su publicación, el (los) autores aceptan que para su publicación transferirán los derechos de autor a la Universidad Surcolombiana, para su difusión en versión impresa o electrónica.

Se entiende que las opiniones y valoraciones expresadas por los autores en los artículos son de responsabilidad exclusiva de ellos y no comprometen la opinión y política científica de la Vicerrectoría de Investigación y Proyección Social de la Universidad Surcolombiana.

8)    Editorial. Document written by the Editor, a member of the Publishing committee or a guest researcher. It is about giving guidelines about the magazine themes.

9)    Translation. Translation of classics, current affairs or transcriptionof historical or specific interest documents in the magazine publishing domain.

10)    Discussion Document not derived from research.

11)    Bibliographical Review.

Ethic and Legal Principles

The Entornos magazine publishes articles that follow the ethical principles that are based in the Helsinki Declaration of 1964, and its further reviews. Likewise, the articles are subject to the compliance of the specific legislation of the country in which the research was done and also indicating the name of the institution that gave the permission.

When the articles are sent for their publishing, the author(s) previously accept that for its publishing, they will give out the copyright to Surcolombiana University, for its dissemination in the printed or electronic version.

It’s understood that the opinions and assessments expressed by authors in the articles are their exclusively responsibility and doesn’t commit the political or scientific opinion of the Vice-principal's office of Research and Social development of the Surcolombiana University.
