Financial decision making from the behavioral economics of the students of the Universidad Surcolombiana, Pitalito campus

Behavioral economics is the discipline that studies people's financial decisions and
how these decisions are influenced by cognitive and emotional factors. Thus, this research carried out a quantitative study to understand how the aforementioned factors influence the financial decisions of students at the Universidad Surcolombiana, Pitalito campus. For this purpose, surveys were used to collect data that were subsequently analyzed by means of frequency tables, dispersion and centralization measures. The results of the study allowed the identification of simplified thinking patterns and cognitive limitations that may affect financial decision making.
