Records of threatened and endemic bird species in the basin of Las Ceibas river (Huila) Registros de especies de aves amenazadas y endémicas en la cuenca del río Las Ceibas (Huila)

Abstract

this article presents a list of eleven bird species recorded in twenty one sites of sampling established h the basin of Las Ceibas river. these species are included in the red book of threatened birds of Colombia and nine of them have a status of globally threatened species being restricted only to the middle and upper basin between 1390 and 3150 m.a.s.l. This article also presents a list of nine bird species classified as endemic, from which five coincide with the list of threatened species. some of these registers enlarge the geographical distribution of these species.
