Comparison of Specific Methanogenic Activity Measurement Methods in Anaerobic Reactors on the treatment of vinasse Comparación de dos métodos de medición de actividad Metanogénica específica en reactores anaerobios aplicados al tratamiento de Vinazas

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to cany out tests of displacement of liquid and gas chromatography for the evaluation of the specific methanogenic activity, quantifying the methane production during 40 days using as raw vinasse substrate. The results show that the amount of CH⁴ (mL . gDQO L^J) reported by the displacement method is greater with respect to the volume of methane reported by a chromatographic method, however, the statistical analysis did not show differences between them (pf=0,05).
