This article presents the design and implementation of a data acquisition board as a protocol adapter device from 4-2mA to USB. The board was built by a microcontroller that perdorms the analog-digital conversion and set the USB connection to PC. Also the integrated circuit RCV420 was employed, this chip is specialized in the transformaction of protocol current 4:20mA to a voltage in a range of 0 to 5V.
The information sent by the board to the PC is desplayed in the graphic interface developed in the computational tool LabView. These interfaces have the ability to register the data acquired in the PC´´s hard drive and then displayed graphically what was captured in a previous session.
