Abstract

This article presents a case of oil pollution type represented by a conceptual model, To achieve the stated objective was selected as a pilot area nmnicipality of Candelaria Caves, Valle del Cauca, and developed a methogology based on the ’Technical Manuel for the Implementation of Risk Analysis to Distribution Sites Hydrocarbon Derívatives»" issued by ihe Ministry Environment, Housing and Territorial Development, 2007. The methogology consists of two pphases: Background and Information study area feature. In the first phase was collececd current and historical Information of the study area, with emphasis on land use and in the second phase describes the geology, soil type, groundwater level, hydrogeological characteristics, topography and direction of flow of ihc area study, likewise, were identified sensitive receptors to contamonation, By constructing f the conceptual model identified additional information to be collected to make a full assessment of hydrocarbon contamination in soil and groundwater, in turn, is a tool that allows the environmental agency to propose a monitoring plan an assessment and propose corrective actions to stop post, remove or mitígate contamination processes, with the obligation to protect the quality of underground resourece that caters entirely to the township's population at large Caramel the town ofCandelaria
