Abstract

This article presents an alternative to interpret Production Logging Tests of oil wells, based on the development of an interactive software that from the well log data, production or injection data, description of the tools used and parameters hydrocarbon, to determine the vertical distribution of fluids produced or injected, through the implementation of a scheme of interpretation. The scheme has methods and charts to the calibration of logging tools, PVT correlations to determine the properties of fluids(Bánzer, 1996)., methods for determining the fraction of fluid in different sections of the well and multiphase flow correlations for calculating rates flow. The software has a graphical interface that lets you view the log data and estimates of flow rates depending on the depth, equipped with a graphic editing module lets you modify and remove invalid data. To develop the program used programming tool Visual Basic.Net Express 2008 version because of its approach to graphical environments, as no license fees generated; to calculate flow rates are used four multiphase flow correlations.
