In this article, I intend to specify what we can understand by "Mathematics Education" as a new discipline in the process of formation, and locate it in relation to mathematics and other relevant disciplines.
mathematics. What is meant by "Mathematics" is not as clear as it seems at first glance. There is no proper definition of mathematics, and the dozens of definitions or descriptions proposed do not agglutinate more than a small group of followers. But one can not doubt the existence in history of social processes of ideation, discussion, consignation in symbols and graphics, decoding and recasting of knowledge, which at least those who practice it identifies clearly like mathematics.
