Abstract

Let me first try to say something about it, to express with respect to you my most deep reservoirs about the usefulness and benefit of this kind of festivals, at least in the way we are used to celebrate them in our academic field.

You will go understanginf that the issue that I was  refering to above and the one that, by now, I do not know how to deal with, that maybe I have no choice but to represent the unpleasant and not very airy role of spoilers.

In my opinion, this one about language is like all of our festivals, it does not usually go beyond  empty ritual with no meaning, unable to produce important changes in our attitudes and behaviors,  to leave a deep mark on our spirit, often inclined to listen more lightly than reflection to the panegyric of Cervantes, the laudatory discourses on the Spanish language, the invitation to speak and write correctly, and all the verbal paraphernalia that we usually exhibit in the of fanfare every April 23, as if all those lectures, lectures and lectures would only lead us to leave in us the idea -almost the subliminal message- that the best way to honor our Castilian language is - in other words- to talk a lot and hopefully well, to write profusely no matter how and how much.
