In this article, a form of spectroscopy is indicated to determine the amount of oxygen produced by a leaf when it is irradiated with a certain frequency of electromagnetic radiation. Photoacoustic spectroscopy is a photothermal technique that does not compromise the sample by translating a modulated signal into heat and this, in turn, produces an acoustic signal, due to the increase in pressure caused by the increase of gas in the photoacoustic cell.
