The ECAES and its possible impact on the Surcolombiana University's PEU

Abstract

It is necessary to start this article highlighting the unusual importance that Higher Education institutions have given to the ECAES - Higher Education Quality Examination, which has led them to determine and guide their academic dynamics towards obtaining positive results in this exam , on the margin or distant from its institutional policies consigned in its IEP and specified in the different Development and Academic Improvement Plans. It is considered important to reflect carefully on this aspect because it is significant to analyze the validity of these behaviors within the framework of institutional autonomy and integrity. To try to guide the academic dynamics of an institution towards the achievement of a good result in front of an exam, 2 is to reduce the idea and the notion of university institution in a disconcerting and reckless manner. In what follows I will try to refer to the basic grammar of the ECAES and of the University Educational Project of the Surcolombiana, to try in the final part of this article, to establish a possible dialogue between these two regulations
