In the XVII century, the appearence of modern science occurred among other causes, as a reaction to the scholastic knowledge of the Middle Ages. The success of science has its maximum expression in the XEX century when proposing the primacy of observation over reflection, of "yís / ca" over "metaphysics" and, the creation of a model of rationality that Habermas called instrumental.
